In the heart of the mountains near Mont-Tremblant nestles a residence fused with its natural surroundings, named with evocative simplicity: 46N74O Alt. 280. This enigmatic name embraces the essence of our architectural project, where every detail is meticulously designed to fit and integrate with the surrounding topography, capturing the soul of this enchanting place. The residence's wood-and-concrete structure embraces the natural shape of the land, with its semi-recessed integration resulting from a close collaboration between architecture and topography. It embodies a fusion of respect for the environment, Feng Shui principles and the use of sustainable, locally-sourced materials. Every aspect of this biomorphic design has been thought through to create a living space that promotes well-being and harmony with nature. Access to the property is via a winding path, lined with rocky outcrops and a maple forest. Once on the plateau where the residence stands, the panoramic view of the surrounding landscape gradually unfolds, revealing the contours of the house, which blend into its surroundings with monochromatic delicacy.

The five elements of Feng Shui - wood, fire, earth, metal and water - are meticulously integrated, notably through the presence of a natural waterfall close to the reception area. The interior spaces are divided into clear functional zones, each responding to a specific aspect of life, ensuring a perfect symbiosis between form and function. The interior spaces are arranged to allow a fluid flow of energy, enlivened by landscape gaps that blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors throughout the residence.

The materials used in the construction of the house were carefully selected for their durability and low environmental impact, while subtly blending with the natural hues of the site, creating a perfect fusion of human artifice and natural beauty. Natural cedar, concrete, glass and custom-developed anodized aluminum, in the colors of frost on the leaves of nearby maples, create an elegant, integrated and environmentally-friendly aesthetic. Large windows offer breathtaking views of the landscape, inviting residents to connect with the surrounding nature at any time of day. Subtle interplays of transparency and reflection give the property a crystalline aura, capturing daylight and reflecting it dynamically across the space.

Architectural concrete has been used as a linking element between the different spaces of the house, like a breadcrumb trail in the resident's journey, offering not only structural stability, but also acting as a thermal mass to regulate the interior temperature throughout the year.

Inside, a thoughtful layout of spaces offers a fluid transition between the different living zones. The interplay of natural light and strategically placed openings allow the surrounding nature to permeate every area of the house, creating a singular, soothing atmosphere. A concrete terrace rises to the sky, a place dedicated to relaxation and well-being. Incorporating a spa and sauna, this outdoor space becomes a sanctuary, where you can recharge your batteries in harmony with nature. The subtle depression of the main level creates a fine separation between private spaces and communal living areas, preserving the intimacy of the sleeping areas and tea room. The residence's reception areas are all on one level to ensure accessibility and inclusive living qualities. The partial bunk floor houses a private studio, a true haven of intimacy nestled at the top of the residence.
