Andreas Kowalewski is a designer, born in Berlin and based in Hamburg. After finishing his cabinetmaker apprenticeship, he studied at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany, and graduated in 2006 with master’s degree in industrial design. Before establishing his own design studio, he has been working for companies in the consumer electronics, automotive and interior design field and became later a creative director at Philips Design in the Netherlands and China. Over the course of his long-term partnerships and experience with various other companies and design brands, he has developed an in-depth knowledge of the industry. From defining the business model to understanding the manufacturing process to designing the actual product – Kowalewski believes, that by collaborating from the beginning to the end of the process, good ideas turn into reality. His passion for transforming objects into unique tactile product experiences drives everything he does.
