After graduating from the ENSCI. Fred Frety first worked.with Marc Berthier and then, with Werner Aisslinger with whom he designed the Level office system for Vitra. Fred join the studio Massaud in 2004 and since 2009 he is Jean-Marie Massaud’s partner in the design field. Whether designing an armchair or a watch, Fred Frety always consider a project as a first meet. a new frontier, a new opportunity to disclose meaning and to share pleasur. Because every meeting is unique, Fred Frety keeps on renewing the way he adresses his work. Setting aside any stylistic recipe, he is rather fueled by technical constraints and his partner’s business requirements. He strives to mix these parameters in his design and he is thus able to divert a use to value a know-how, to highlight a culture and eventually to celebrate what makes each object unique. Fred Frety is lead by his intuitions and urges but his work gives no place to compromise. No place to random. Every detail gives the opportunity to surprise, to go beyond the ordinary. This intuition and highest standards give rise to new stories. Objects and spaces start a poetic dialogue with their users. And little by little. a fair story uprises, putting forward an otimistic life scenario, offering refined and sensitive experience.
