Graduated with a first class honours degree in Architecture from the University of Portsmouth and University of Plymouth.
After graduating she joined Hampshire County Council, where she worked as a project architect on numerous schools and educational buildings. She then travelled to the United States to Study Architecture & Dance in Cincinnati and work in San Francisco to return in 2006 to work in London and later for John Pardey Architects in Lymington.
In 2006 Kay set up Hyde + Hyde Archite
