The turning table is a coffee table with an integrated storage space.
White oiled birch plywood is forming the plate and the storage container, round pine wood sticks are used for the legs and copper rods stabilize these. This table is about creating more than just a plate on which to place a coffee cup, it has an openable lid which is turning around one of the three wooden sticks, which also form the legs.
With the help of a simple bolt and screw system, the lid is opening and revealing a container, which can store things like books, magazines, cookies or whatever is needed in the living room. The copper sticks are placed in between the legs to stabilize the whole construction, giving a nice material contrast.
