Athletics Arena on Krestovsky Island | Trofimov studio

Public spaces of the athletics arena accentuate a sport function of the building. We used bright saturated colors and pulsating dynamic shapes that tune up the athlete or visitor to a competition. A wall with world records and a principal staircase have become the main features of a complex. Print of the wall was designed in our studio. When you are entering the main arena you see a type-bar with record which encourages to break it. Due to the fact that there is not much space inside we decided not to put any furniture in public areas. Instead of it we created a variety of  places integrated to the walls and stairs where one can have rest, seat or get online with Wi-Fi. Thereby we created spaces for communication around the building especially in the lobbies.
