 Sei camere ampie e luminose, ciascuna con proprio bagno luxury minimal, pensate per offrire comfort e benessere di classe superiore, caratterizzate da proposte di design in ogni minimo particolare. Nell’anno di Expo 2015, nel cuore del distretto moda & design di Milano, inserito in un contesto di architettura post industriale, all’interno di un edificio storico oggetto di un ambizioso progetto di riconversione, nasce miLoft, spazio ricettivo unconventional.

EX OPIFICIO BISLERI, costruzione originaria 1881
Tra Via Solari e Via Savona, praticamente al centro di Milano. All’interno dell’ex opificio Bisleri, dove veniva prodotto il celebre liquore Ferro China, inventato da Felice Bisleri quando nel 1881 prese in affitto una bottega proprio in Via Savona 16. Un modesto laboratorio che ben presto, grazie al successo del liquore dovuto all’utilizzo pionieristico della pubblicità con il motto “Cento anni da Leone”, si trasformò in stabilimento espandendosi sino a Via A. Solari 11. Una costruzione atipica, in quanto sia le facciate esterne che le corti ricordano in maniera evidente un insediamento abitativo. Il sito di architettura post industriale, negli anni oggetto di un ambizioso progetto di riconversione, oggi si presenta in un vivace contesto commerciale abitativo chiamato 11 SOLARI.
Miloft si sviluppa al centro del complesso, in posizione tranquilla e riservata. All’ultimo piano, con un terrazzo conviviale a disposizione degli ospiti, affacciato sui tetti, dal quale si può ammirare la storica ciminiera che si erige fiera come un monumento a testimonianza del glorioso passato.

SAVONA/TORTONA fashion & design district
Antica e gloriosa area industriale dove le fabbriche e le officine dismesse sono state riconvertite in showroom, laboratori, studi, scuole, spazi polifunzionali e residenze. L’intera zona è oggi considerata tra le più all’avanguardia e creative della città. Riconosciuta a livello Internazionale come icona di riferimento del design contemporaneo, della moda, dell’arte e della fotografia. Il momento cloù è durante la settimana del Fuori Salone quando diventa un unico spazio espositivo collettivo dei vari brand dell’industria del design con eventi, installazioni, performance artistiche. I Navigli si raggiungono con una passeggiata a piedi in pochi minuti, attraversando il caratteristico e plurifotografato ponte di ferro sulla ferrovia. Ristoranti, trattorie tipiche, locali trendy di ogni tipo rendono frizzante la vita serale e notturna. Essendo praticamente in centro, da miLoft si raggiunge agevolmente ogni meta a piedi o con i mezzi pubblici.

CONCEPT
Il concept di miLoft, dinamico ed in continua evoluzione, privilegia la qualità dell’ospitalità attraverso il connubio tra comfort e design, sia indoor che outdoor sulla grande terrazza. Iniziative creative accompagneranno il soggiorno degli ospiti arricchendolo di stimoli. Rivolto a chiunque sia sensibile al fascino che la parola stessa “design” esercita. Addetti ai lavori, appassionati o anche semplici curiosi, in miLoft gli ospiti diventano protagonisti attivi. La camera resta luogo intimo e riservato ma è reinterpretata come spazio dove vengono messe in mostra le scelte che miLoft ha effettuato per assicurare il meglio. I prodotti escono dalle showroom delle aziende ed entrano nelle camere (presto anche sul rooftop garden) per essere vissuti in prima persona e senza tramiti, come a casa propria. Con calma e attenzione, godendone a fondo il comfort delle specifiche funzioni, apprezzandone la ricercatezza, il design, talvolta la creatività. Ci piace definire questo processo “condivisione trasversale”. Un invito agli ospiti a vivere al meglio il soggiorno nello spazio miLoft approfondendo nel contempo la conoscenza delle aziende e dei designer, la storia e le caratteristiche dei prodotti. Il tutto nel modo più semplice e pratico: attraverso l’utilizzo diretto e personale dei prodotti stessi. In ultimo, ma non meno importante, a propria discrezione, la possibilità di approfittare dei gadgets, dei vantaggi e delle promozioni che le aziende partner del progetto riservano ai clienti di miLoft.
INTERACTION
Per tutti gli ospiti di miLoft “addetti ai lavori” (architetti, progettisti, designer, oppure committenti), la possibilità di interagire direttamente con le aziende per ricevere informazioni e approfondire la conoscenza dei prodotti, stringere accordi commerciali, far partire nuovi progetti. Ciò è possibile anche all’interno della struttura miLoft, nello spazio dedicato, la “saletta degli incontri”. Nella bella stagione anche sul rooftop garden, uno spazio pensato oltre che per il relax degli ospiti con proposte originali, anche per diventare occasionalmente il set di allestimenti, performance ed eventi conviviali e creativi, talvolta condivisi con i partner.
INCUBATOR
Il sogno di miLoft è anche quello di diventare un incubatore di idee ed iniziative. La sfida sarà quella di stupire e coinvolgere con la semplicità. Artisti emergenti in ogni campo, sempre supportati in modo originale, avranno l’opportunità di mettere in mostra le loro creazioni ed il loro talento interpretando al meglio il nostro concept. Per gli ospiti il privilegio di conoscere nuove espressioni, godendosele appieno in miLoft, talvolta sorseggiando un caffè assieme agli stessi protagonisti. In qualche caso con la possibilità di portarsi a casa propria, magari dall’altra parte del mondo, la creatività che più si apprezza.

It is set inside a wonderfully reconverted historical building amid post-industrial architecture  in the heart of  Milan’s fashion and designer district.

FORMER BISLERI FACTORY built in 1881

Between Via Solari and Via Tortona, practically in the centre of Milan. 

Inside the former Bisleri factory where the famous Ferro China liqueur was produced. Felice Bisleri the inventor of the liqueur started off with a small workshop in Via Savona 16 in 1881. The liqueur was a great success not least because it was advertised as making you live a long and healthy life (as strong as a lion) and Mr Bisleri soon expanded his factory to Via Solari 11. An unusual factory building as the façade and the courtyards  attest that it was used as a housing settlement. This post industrial architectural site has undergone a tasteful reconversion and is now a lively  residential and commercial setting called 11 Solari . Miloft has been created in the heart of this complex in a quiet and reserved setting. It is on the top floor with a convivial terrace at the guests’ disposal overlooking the rooftops where you can admire the Bisleri historic chimney stack , a monument to its glorious past. 

SAVONA/TORTONA fashion & design district

 In this grand old industrial area the abandoned factories and workshops have been converted into  showrooms, laboratories, studios, schools, multifunctional areas and residential quarters. The whole area is now considered one of the most avant-garde and creative parts of the city . It has received international recognition and figures prominently in contemporary design,  in fashion, in art and photography. The highlight is Fuori Salone week when it becomes  one large collective showroom for the various brands of the  design industry with events, installations and artistic performances.   The Navigli are only a few minutes away on foot ,  crossing the characteristic much photographed iron bridge over the railway. Restaurants, traditional trattorias and trendy bars and clubs make for a sparkling night life. As Miloft is practically in the centre all spots are easily reached either on foot or using public transport.

The dynamic and ever evolving Miloft concept  provides  quality accommodation   with a perfect union of comfort and design both indoors and outdoors on its large terrace. Creative initiatives will  enrich and enhance your stay. For anyone who loves or is involved in design. Whether you work in the  field of design or are simply design aficionados Miloft gives you a chance to play an active part. The room is also a showcase for the details that miLoft has chosen to ensure excellence, an intimate and reserved place where you can calmly enjoy all the specific functions of the furnishings and fittings and fully appreciate  the artistic flair , the design and the attention to detail. We invite the guests to enjoy the comfort of their stay, even if it is only short, and to learn about the companies, the designers, the history and the characteristics of their  products. All this can be done simply by making use of the products themselves. Last but not least, should our guests wish to purchase any the gadgets or furnishings they have enjoyed they can take  advantage of the special conditions that our partners reserve for   Miloft guests.

INTERACTION

All miLoft guests who work in the field of design (architects, designers, planners or buyers/customers) will be free to meet and to interact directly with our partner companies to obtain more information on the products and to maybe set up further projects with them. The meetings can be arranged in our cozy meeting room if you wish. During the summer months the meetings can take place in our rooftop garden where  our guests can relax amid our original furnishings. The rooftop garden may also be used as a setting for  installations, performances and for lively and creative events often shared with our partners,. 

INCUBATOR

MiLoft’s aim is to become an incubator of ideas and initiatives: to captivate and engage with simplicity. Emerging artists from all fields will have the chance to showcase their talent and their creations   interpreting our concepts. Our guests can get to know new artistic expressions by experiencing them   in miLoft while maybe sipping a coffee with the creators themselves. In some cases they may be able to take the creative piece that they have so admired back home with them to the other side of the world.
