Reforma interior d'una casa al Mas Nou | 05AM Arquitectura

The intervention in this big house consisted in redefining the major areas by giving them more width and light according to the lifestyle of the new owners.

The original house had a classical distribution of spaces, separated according to their functions; with a large living room, a dining room, and a kitchen strictly separated.

On the one hand, a large opening was designed in order to spatially connect the living room and the new dining room, while on the other hand the new kitchen, opened and put in relation with other spaces, was positioned near the existing porch overlooking an outdoor terrace.

Moreover, the front opening widened to obtain a panorama on the sea and to increase internal brightness.

Finally, the spatial conversion ended by recovering the existing pitched roof volume from the inside of the house.

Hence, the result of these actions presented a radical change that transformed a space without qualities in a dynamic, spacious, and bright interior space with a better relationship with the outside.

ESP - 

La intervenció en aquesta gran casa consisteix en redefinir els espais principals per a dotar-los de mes espaiositat i llum per adaptar-los a una nova forma de viure dels nous propietaris.

La casa original presentava una distribució clàssica de estances separades per als usos de dia, tenia una gran sala d’estar, un menjador i una cuina tancada, estrictament funcional posicionada a la façana del darrera.

En primer terme es realitza una gran obertura per a comunicar espaialment la sala d’estar amb el nou menjador, i la nova cuina, ara oberta i ben comunicada amb la resta dels espais es situa en  una posició molt més pròxima al porxo existent. La reconversió espacial es completa aconseguint recuperar la volumetria de la coberta inclinada existent a l’interior. També s’engrandeix la obertura frontal en la seva màxima dimensió, i per tant s’aconsegueix la màxima visió del mar i moltíssima llum interior. D’aquestes intervencions en resulta un canvi radical que transforma un interior que era poc aprofitat, en un espai dinàmic, lluminós, ampli i amb una molt millor relació amb l’exterior.
