A tile makeover is one of the easiest ways to give your home a fresh new look without the need to spend too much money or wrack your brain with renovation ideas.

Clean them up - Tile and grout cleaning

Cleaning your existing tiles is always an excellent place to start, and an added bonus is that you can clean your them extremely well with products readily available at home.

A cup of white vinegar in five litres of water is wonderfully effective as well as being odour-eliminating. And if you have children or pets, you'll not be wanting to use harsh chemicals, so this is a perfect alternative.

Grout, the stuff between the tiles, is porous, and so on most floors, it'll be much dirtier than the tiles. Cleaning this grout will make a surprising difference and improve the look incredibly.

To clean dirty grout, use a DIY solution mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water in equal parts. Apply it with a toothbrush, and you'll remove any stains.

Paint them - Tile and grout painting

Changing the colour of your existing tiles and grout can alter the look of a room instantly. It's a fabulous makeover without the inconvenience, stress, or cost of taking up your tiles.

For this quite simple task, you'll need products like tile and laminate primer, tile paint, and some sandpaper.

For the final coat, you'll do well to paint the grout with a colour or clear sealer that'll bind to the grout and prevent dirt and oil from penetrating later.

Add new designs

You can quickly add a new vibe to your house by adding new designs.

Following pattern designs is a splendid idea as it adds your personal touch. You can use dynamic pattern designs, taking into consideration you room layout.

Separate tile designs according to the room in which they're being used. For example, neutral colours are best for bathrooms, and for kitchen counters, it is best to choose browns or blacks. If you want to tile the kids' rooms, striking colours are great!

Choose new types of tiles

You'll not easily go wrong with new and modern tiles for your makeover, but again, be sure to choose the right type of tile for the space in question.

Here are some ideas

The affordable solution is your ceramic tile. They're durable, easy to install and come in a terrific variety of colours and designs.

Porcelain tiles do well for stain- and impact-resistant floors, walls, and backsplashes. They clean easily and comes in a huge variety of styles.

Glass tile is colourful, reflective, and also easy-to-clean. They're best for walls and backsplashes, but there are some glass tiles that are rated for use on floors. Many colours available and glass tiles will add that "wow factor."

Cement tiles are resilient, modern, and beautiful. These tiles will look great on floors, backsplashes, and walls.

Stone tiles are a classic look and work wonderfully on walls, backsplashes, or floors.

And why not get the look of a granite countertop for less by using granite tiles instead of a slab?

Try this mix of ideas for quick and easy renovations without too much expense or hassle.
