NATIONAL YOUTH SPORTS CENTRE TENERO | SNA (Studio Nava Alessandro)
Tenero - Contra / Switzerland / 2017
The project is aimed at investigating the NATURE / ARTIFICIAL dichotomy, in reference to both a territorial and an architectural scale. The territory to which the Tenero Youth Sports Center belongs is characterized by a strong and important relationship with the lake, with the natural and anthropic elements of the landscape that can be classified into linear systems (rows of trees) and area systems (protected natural area). The project aims to define new edges and new polarities capable of creating new correlations with the context, while on an architectural scale the design approach is aimed at composing relationships of continuity between the internal and external space. The design of the new swimming sports center proposes a complete and recognizable shape, defined by compact volumes, porticoes and continuous facades, in order to define new correlations between the architectural object, the landscape and the environment.
