Just a few steps from the center of Castelló, this home with privileged views crowns a residential building from the eighties. Completely redistributed, it has two floors with independent access. The upper one houses the day area and offers spacious and bright spaces overlooking the terrace. The lower one, more intimate, houses the night area with its bedrooms, bathrooms, and a double-height multipurpose room.

From the upper hall, we enter directly into the living area, where the kitchen, dining room, and living room form an open and bright space. The fully integrated kitchen is resolved with floor-to-ceiling cabinets lacquered in white, providing storage and hiding appliances. In the center of it, the volume of the island, bathed by the natural light of the skylight, separates the preparation area from the rest of the room. In the living/dining room, balance has been sought between the parts by combining materials and integrating touches of color. As a result, we obtain a warm and cozy living area that serves as a visual bridge to the terrace.

To go down to the lower floor we walk down the staircase whose oak steps outline horizontal slats that become a visible bookshelf. Natural light, coming from the windows and the skylight, floods the multipurpose room. This maintains visual communication with the study through the glazed corner that allows natural light and spaciousness to the room.

Guiding the transit towards the corridor we find the children’s bedrooms in which a playful and casual aesthetic has been chosen. The common bathroom, studied ad hoc, retains that character and is characterized by the bluish nuances of the vinyl paper and the wall. For the shower, a porcelain tile in neutral tones has been chosen in continuity with the large-format coating used in the rest of the house.

The master bedroom is a simple, bright, and calm room that invites rest and privacy. The furniture gives lightness to the whole and leaves prominence to the back wall covered with wallpaper with delicate floral motifs. Behind the two sliding doors, lacquered in white, we find the dressing room and the en-suite bathroom. In it, the wellness area stands out, whose back wall is covered with a ceramic mosaic that gives a different elegance to the space. The natural oak combined with the grayish porcelain and the mint green of the walls give serenity and spaciousness to the bathroom.

In short, it has been wanted to give character and particularity to an apartment with a privileged location with design pieces that reflect the good taste of the owners.
