Reception pavilion at Macaya Palace | MIRAG Arquitectura i Gestió
Barcelona / Spain / 2013
The project is located in the Macaya Palace, an Art Nouveau building built by the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch in 1898 in Barcelona’s Eixample district. The commission was for a reception pavilion placed in the courtyard of the building. We created a small space that respects the characteristics of the patio by reflecting its surroundings. The shape of the pavilion adapts to the columns of the courtyard and its mirror surface reflects the details of the Art Nouveau architecture.
