Este projeto residencial de iniciativa privada está localizado junto à Circunvalação, no limite norte da cidade do Porto. O terreno tem uma configuração trapezoidal e possui uma frente para a rua Nova do Rio. A implantação do edifício ao centro do terreno permitiu criar aberturas em todas as suas fachadas. Recorrendo a alinhamentos existentes na envolvente, foram propostas duas volumetrias que estabelecem uma relação de grande proximidade e tensão entre si. As comunicações verticais e os espaços de distribuição localizam-se ao centro, no interstício formado pelos dois volumes. O acesso ao edifício converge para o seu centro, este percurso é acentuado pela proximidade e tensão existente entre os volumes. O programa organiza dois apartamentos de tipologia T0 e catorze apartamentos de tipologia T1, distribuídos em quatro pisos. Um piso em cave foi dedicado ao estacionamento.. Do exterior, as fachadas do edifício são tratadas num registo monocromático em tom cinzento claro, este predomina em todos os seus elementos construtivos. Os vãos exteriores obedecem a uma composição de matriz aleatória e dinamica que em determinados momentos quebra os cunhais dos volumes.

This private initiative residential project is located next to the Circunvalação, on the northern edge of the city of Porto. The plot has a trapezoidal configuration and faces rua Nova do Rio. The building's location in the center of the plot allowed openings to be created on all its facades. Using existing alignments in the surroundings, two volumes were proposed that establish a relationship of great proximity and tension with each other. Vertical communications and distribution spaces are located in the center, in the interstice formed by the two volumes. The access to the building converges to its center, this route is accentuated by the proximity and tension between the volumes The program organizes two T0 apartments and fourteen T1 apartments, spread over four floors. A basement floor was dedicated to parking. From the outside, the building's facades are treated in a monochromatic light gray tone, which predominates in all its constructive elements. The windows obey to a random and dynamic matrix composition that at certain times breaks the corners of the volumes.
