YIT sales point | AT26 architects

The Sales point serves mainly for those interested in buying an apartment and commercial premises in the developer's current projects. At the same time, it also serves as a sample room of materials offered as standard in these projects.

The space is located on the ground floor of the Pradiareň 1900 cultural monument and is accessible both directly from Svätopluková Street and also from the interior of the Pradiareň 1900.

The architectural solution came from a competition called in 2019, which we won.

The main task was to preserve the original industrial character of Pradiareň 1900 building and to create a pleasant homely environment simultaneously since the sale of apartments to end clients makes up to 95% of YIT's total construction production.

Since the area was relatively small, we decided to use the advantage of the generous hight ceiling to insert a new mezzanine storey. We designed the mezzanine itself and the spiral staircase to appear deliberately raw and industrial, which created a contrast to the other, much smoother interior elements.

Spanning the space in the transverse direction creates an interesting height topography and the space's division into smaller units.

Functionally, the space is divided into a part for working with clients and quieter closed offices for employees. We placed a reception desk on the longitudinal axis, which overlooks entrances and the waiting area with a children's corner. At the reception, there are storage spaces hidden behind the Schwarz plan of Bratislava, on which YIT can graphically mark its completed projects. Opposite the reception, we inserted a pink box with intimate meeting rooms with variable ceiling heights. Behind this box is a material sample room.

The closed part of the ground floor and mezzanine is used for the needs of employees and contains workplaces, a kitchen, social facilities, and one meeting room. The open part of the mezzanine serves as a space reserve. Unfortunately, this part was shortened by 1 module after a year of use and without our knowledge.
