The existing building is a former outhouse to the most prominent Art Nouveau building in Uppsala and the client is a family asking for both a new home and an office for the mother working as a psychologist. Externally the facade is restored but with dormers to the roof while internally the floor is lowered to gain its original ceiling height and to create an enfilade from the psychologist office facing the street to a series of family rooms ending with the private garden enclosed by a low wall.
