Red Jane Bakery | Michael Anastassiades

Red Jane is a bakery located in the centre of Chania on the island of Crete. Housed in an old foundry dating back to the 1930s. Michael Anastassiades & Nicos Tsepetis worked closely together to create a place where the physical labour of baking coexists with design. Red Jane is the first fully realised interior project overseen by Michael Anastassiades.

The ceramic project, designed by Anastassiades in collaboration with Mutina, is a custom-made piece created specifically for the Red Jane Bakery in Crete. Inspired by Fringe but in a smaller format (7.4x7.4 cm), the product features a single type of grooves in white and terracotta, elegantly interpreting the minimalism of the place.
