Desa Potato Head | OMA - Office for Metropolitan Architecture

Dome is the latest culinary concept at Desa Potato Head in Bali – a unique space inspired by the visionary futurist and architect Buckminster Fuller. Designed in collaboration with OMA, Dome’s architecture reinterprets historical cisterns with contemporary materials, including reflective blue epoxy floor and fixtures to evoke the feeling of water. Sustainable elements such as reclaimed wood, antique rugs, and upcycled cotton uniforms are used throughout to enhance the eco-conscious feel, whilst the community-focused layout, highlighted by a skylight-lit communal area, fosters connections and inspiration. Custom-designed pieces by OMA and Potato Head's in-house studio makes Dome a harmonious and innovative blend of futuristic architecture and natural elements.
