Located in a picturesque area by the western bay of the Moscow River, this apartment's close proximity to the water and tranquil surroundings evoke the ambiance of the French Riviera, which served as the inspiration for its interior design.

The place was designed for a young woman passionate about reading and travel, evident in the prominent bookshelves and imported artifacts. The primary color palette draws from natural hues of the coastal shore: sandy beige, sage green, wood tones, and ocean blue, reflected in the accent wall of the bedroom and the bathroom tiles.

The Spanish tiles, featuring a bold blue color, are crafted using authentic techniques, resulting in a unique uneven surface with subtle reflections. Although this presents challenges during installation, it creates a distinctive play of light that captivates all who see it.

To balance the bold blue, the designer employed another daring choice: a set of gold fixtures paired with beige decorative plaster and wood-like laminated furniture. The final touch is the Spanish contrast tile flooring with a pattern of white and black squares.

A vertical shelving unit cleverly conceals a washing machine, which is mounted on a pedestal with dedicated ventilation to prevent condensation and moisture buildup, even with regular use.
Instead of a traditional faucet for filling the bath, a drain-overflow system was installed, and the towel warmer was replaced with a heated wall for added comfort.

The Living Space

Attention is drawn to the use of white quartz agglomerate in the kitchen area for the countertops, backsplash, and a custom-made kitchen table. The sage-green kitchen is framed by elements in golden tones, harmonizing with the overall ambiance of the interior.

Despite its modest size, the kitchen incorporates all the essential functionality and appliances for a modern homemaker. Instead of fabric curtains, natural veneer blinds were chosen for the windows.

The flooring throughout the apartment features wood-like quartz vinyl in a herringbone pattern, adding a touch of charm and allowing for a seamless, uniform surface throughout the space, eliminating the need for tile in the kitchen and avoiding visible seams.

The Sleeping Area
The sleeping area is separated from the kitchen-living room by a glass partition with swinging doors. This design allows for the distinct separation of the sleeping zone from the living area without compromising the already limited space in the apartment.

On the wall along the bed, a duplex of textured paintings is displayed, created in the same color as the decorative plaster. Their unique feature lies in their texture, which reflects light in varying ways, adding coziness to the interior without creating excessive visual noise.

Storage is accommodated in a large closet in the hallway, featuring a unique organizer for household items, seasonal clothing, and shoes.

Lighting in the apartment combines main track lights, spotlights, and passive illumination within the shelving units. The track lighting provides the flexibility to individually highlight artworks and decorative elements in the shelves, similar to the way exhibits are illuminated in museums.
