The Krasnodar Region is renowned as one of Russia's foremost "cradles" of football champions. In 2006, construction began on the educational and training base for young football players at FC Krasnodar. By 2009, the training complex, situated just 10 km from Krasnodar on the shores of Lake Chetuk, was completed.

Though the initial construction was finished in 2009, the football complex continues to undergo modernization as part of a comprehensive plan for technical upgrades, interior refurbishments, landscaping, and enhancement of the overall landscape design. The Children's Football Academy, a central feature of the complex, stands out as a unique institution within the Russian sports system.

The facade of the main buildings is clad in KME Tecu Patina—a distinctive copper material used for roofing and facades that has undergone a patination process in a controlled factory environment. Each sheet of this material has a unique pattern, underscoring the individual character and natural beauty of the copper.

The facility includes two air-supported arenas with artificial turf for winter training, 12 fields with natural grass, and three additional fields with synthetic surfaces. There is also a 3,000-seat stadium with a covered stand, where the youth team of FC Krasnodar and the Krasnodar-2 team, which competes in Russia's second division, play their home matches.

The main building of the Academy is divided into educational and sports sections. The educational section houses a comprehensive school where students from grades 6 to 11 study. It also includes a canteen, an assembly hall, office spaces, and hotel rooms for visiting parents. The sports section features a medical rehabilitation center, a swimming pool, saunas, a gym, a sports hall, and a trampoline hall. Additionally, the Academy comprises ten cottages, each accommodating up to 34 people.

Currently, around 300 students live, train, and study at the Academy, which also operates 26 branches across the region, serving approximately 13,000 young athletes.
