Portillo Eco-House 2003 Julio Portillo Chiva. Urbanización El Bosque. Valencia 486.40 m2 462,080 euros ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .... 1. Most Important Goals - Integrate housing with the slope of the hill, as an extension of it. - Design the cover as an extension of the natural terrain. 2. Architectural Solution As in the House Guaita, the House and the House Seve Villazón, the land is located on the northern slope of a hill, with magnificent views. This situation greatly complicates the design bioclimatic housing, and solar inputs difficult. To remedy the situation, the housing is constructed in a semi-buried in the hillside, so that you can access the garage, located north from the street below through a small ramp. The house has another entrance at the top of the hill. A straight-down and protected by high side walls, connected with a pool. On each side of the pool is located two stairs that connect with a large circular atrium that allows natural solar radiation of the house. The fourth floor of the house has a glass floor so that solar access to the lower floor. Thus, the entire house has natural light and tends to greenhouse warming. The architectural structure of the house is very simple. All rooms are arranged linearly on both sides of a double-height central courtyard. Thus, all the rooms have views to the north, and at the same time, all are focused to that yard, so it is enhanced vertical communication between all rooms. On the other hand, this provision effectively allows the entire housing tends to greenhouse warming in winter and cool by cool air currents rising in summer.
