The UFA Cinema Center Dresden, composed of the Cinema Block and the transparent Crystal, is conceived as an urban space. This idea is sustained through the softening of both the functional program and the building envelope to allow cultural functions to take place, and also through the injection of media events. The urban quality of the space is reinforced by circulation systems of stairs and bridges which allow views of people through layers of light and color. The Cinema Center seats 2600 persons in its 8 cinemas.
