Plastex is an eco-friendly fabric made of reused plastic bags and recycled cotton. Plastic bags are collected and cut into thin stripes that are integrated into “hand-weaving” techniques and the “handloom”, which is a craft ancient Egyptians used to weave their clothes. Designed to raise awareness about the use of plastic bags and community developmetn. It is inspired by the authenticity of Egypt within which we wanted to make a sustainable change.
