From the 7th to the 26th of February 2013 Fabrica, the Benetton Group’s communication research center, will be a guest of the Ilivetomorrow gallery in Hong Kong with the project MOBILE MUSEUM

The Mobile Museum, by Fabrica designers Dean Brown and Philip Bone, is a travelling museum, with contents contributed by people from all over the world and from different backgrounds. Unlike a conventional museum, the collection is always changing and evolving depending on its location, with the location itself dictating the theme.

In 2011 and 2012 the Mobile Museum has been presented at the Milan Furniture Fair, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London as part of the “Friday Late Summer Camp program”, the Architecture Museum in Brussels as part of “Design September”, the MUDAM in Luxembourg, the Design Museum in Helsinki as part of “Designworld” and the 01100001 Art Gallery in CaoChangdi Village in Beijing as part of the Beijing Design Week.

The curatorial theme of the Hong Kong’s stage is "Authentic". Authentic speaks about the idea of what is genuine and what is not - particularly relevant to Hong Kong as a place that shares aspects of European and Chinese Culture - a place caught between different values. Authenticity touches everything from food, to production to song writing - something intangible but very real to the maker or the observer. Authentic is also tradition and custom.
