Here we go again, the Salone del Mobile 2014 has just closed its doors and we have been keeping a keen eye over it!

I'm sure that those working hard all year round to make this week extremly cool felt a feeling of freedom and lightness, as soon as the gates closed behind them. But I'm also pretty sure that immediately after their first sentence could have begun something like this: "ok next year we need to plan this...change this...and improve this..." And who cares about all the controversies which accompany iSaloni every year... after all iSaloni are always iSaloni, one of the best furniture fairs in the world with more than 350,000 visitors, an increase of 13% compared with the 2013 edition. As you see on the Triennale's wall "Italian Design beyond the Crisis" !

So before thinking about the millions of things to do for next year, Let's recap on The Best we've seen this year in Milan using the pictures posted on instagram by our users and tagged with the hashtag #archiproducts.

Starting from Moooi©'s location in Via Savona at the Fuorisalone. A concentrate of elegance mixed with art and music. 1,700 m2 transformed into a stylish assembly of colourful living quarters in an totally unexpected way. Let me say this...one of the best product exhibitions I've ever seen.

And still on the subject of the furniture and art combo we have to mention Paola Lenti and her furniture at the Chiostri dell'Umanitaria which every year give unique emotions.

Something which was undoubtedly not missing was technology in all its forms.

VALCUCINE hosted a workshop in its showroom in Brera entitled "Kitchen becomes open!". The event lasted throughout the week and was attended by designers, makers and innovators with the aim of reinterpreting the italian company's MECCANICA System (by DEMODE engineered by Valucine) by developing concepts for expanding the structure in the form of accessories and add-on components, with Arduino and 3D printing.

Of equal importance, in the Triennale "The Hong Kong: Constant Change" exhibition aims to portray Hong Kong’s vibrant creative landscape. Through the use of multimedia, the design and creative forces in play are manifested in a city characterised by its unique positioning and unprecedented opportunities within Asia and China.

Locations apart, the main role was played by the products as usual: new colors, new materials and new amazing collections by all the brands once again made iSaloni THE event to be at!
