TOTEMENT / PAPER — a team of promising architects, created in 2006. Our basic activities lie in the scope of “research”, which is not a mean to get a result but a process of promoting communication with other fields of human activities, where architecture is neither an aim nor a result but a tool, a method and esthetics of language of communication. On a crossroad of various languages (cultural, technological, philosophical, ethical and etc.) we try to find our own esthetics of “space-and-form”, which can become a basis of future «ethics of communication».
For the period of its existence TOTEMENT / PAPER Bureau has taken part in Russian and foreign competitions winning top awards and becoming prize winners as well as being in short-lists for many times. We take an active part in exhibitions and lectures, works of our Bureau are published in Russian and international editions.
TOTEMENT/PAPER is the author of Russian Pavilion at EXPO-2010 in Shanghai.
