Carlo Donati Studio

Carlo Donati Studio is mostly focused on luxury houses, shops and resorts throughout Italy and abroad.
The firm worked as consultant for architecture of Versace Group in New York, renovating Gianni Versace’s townhouse and the historical Vanderbilt Mansion, the main flagship store on the Fifth Avenue. It was also consultant for architecture of fashion brands as Aldo Coppola and Liberty of London.
In 2008 the firm won the contest and developed the masterplan of Segrate, Milan.

The firm is currently responsible of the artistic direction of the Slowear fashion brand, developing the new retail concept and the design of several stores and showrooms in Italy and all over the world. It is now working on a new residential building with luxury apartments and utilities in Milan downtown.
Carlo Donati Studio is also the project team in charge for the new image of the companies Colefax and Fowler and Linea più, working at their retail concepts and at the project of several customer service offices.

The minimalist approach is always contaminated by chromatic and graphic suggestions inspired from the existing context, paying great attention to use both artificial and natural light to emphasize volumes and perspectives of the architectures.
The research of new material solutions and the attention for the chromatic palette give “identity” and character making every project unique. Crossing styles with taste and mixing up different materials and furniture is a way to enrich interiors with personality.
Most of the projects have been object of interest by international press and have been published in the most renown and influent interior design magazines and several books of architecture either in Italy then all over the world.
