Esperia has been producing high-end decorative lighting since 1952 in Tuscany. Design, material, art and innovation, it is from these values that uncompromising objects are created to give those who choose them the opportunity to experience incomparable emotions. The company's history began in Poggibonsi in 1952 when three enterprising young friends started a project to realize their dream of creating a company in postwar Italy. The company immediately expressed a strong connection with the Tuscan district, historically devoted to the glass industry and later also to the furniture industry. Starting in the 1960s it expanded its production to the entire lighting sector, thanks to a major structural and production development. In the same years Esperia began a fruitful and long-lasting collaboration with Prof. Angelo Brotto. To this period belong the first exhibitions, and the company's debut at the Salone del Mobile in Milan with its participation in Euroluce in 1969, the first of a long series. This allowed the brand to achieve important international notoriety and to initiate new collaborations with leading companies in the art of glassmaking such as Venini. Esperia's in-house style center designs and manufactures the creations, including the custom sector, controlling the entire production process, which is articulated in the various Tuscan districts. Today Esperia is a company of excellence, committed daily to the research and development of innovative and contemporary designs, thanks to the experience gained over more than 70 years of history.

The materials and workmanship of Esperia lamps

The Esperia collection is born from a rich palette of materials, the creations include noble materials such as leather, brass and aluminum castings, glass and crystal from Colle Val D'Elsa, worked by the skilled craftsmanship of the artisans of the production district and represent the starting point for iconic light sculptures, and for custom realizations dedicated to retail and Contract scenarios. Always committed to research on the processing of materials in order to achieve rich and unexpected results, Esperia makes use of the most important manufactures for the processing of metals (iron, brass and aluminum), crystal and glass. The multiple processes are finished by hand, establishing a dialogue between the materials used and the final rendering of the artifact. The finishes have the most diverse yields and range from the most precious ones such as gold leaf and silver leaf, to hand burnishing and satin-finishing, to galvanic baths. Maintaining firm ties with artistic manufacture, each lamp represents a unique and unrepeatable sculpture, going on to define Esperia's distinctive signature.
