We think of architecture as the praxis that holds in between the theoretical research and the rigor of the built work. We consider the design process as an instrument to imagine and undertake the transformation of the environment, and its social cultural and environmental implementation. The objective is to build up coherence in the different scales that we approach; from the urban scale to the domestic scale, from ephemeral architecture to the construction of the city.

Through the acquired professional practice the studio has built up a recognition for a work that is consistent, innovative, socially engaged and conceptually rigorous.

Clara Solà-Morales establishes and leads the studio, based in Barcelona, with projects in Spain, France, Mexico and United States. The work has won numerous international awards including the Bauwelt Prize (Munich, 2009), the Young Architects Prize from the Catalan Institute of Architects (Barcelona, 2008), the Design Vanguard Award (New York, 2008), a Mention of Honor for Young Architects from the IX Spanish Architecture Biennale (Madrid, 2007), The Silver Medal of the XI and XIV Mexican Architecture Biennale (Mexico City, 2010, 2016), the Prize of the Iberoamerican Architecture Biennale (Cadiz, 2012), the International FAD Prize 2016 (Barcelona) the Spotlight Prize 2016 (Houston) and the Emerging Voices Award (2017) from the Architectural League of New York.

The work has been selected and exhibited at the official selection of the Venice Biennale, the Barbara Capocchin Biennale, and the Spanish, Mexican, and Iberoamerican biennales. Her work has been widely published worldwide in the majority of specialized magazines from more than 30 countries.
