Liu Yi, the Chief Architect of China Southwest Architectural Design and Research Institute Corp. Ltd (CSWADI), has been diligently engaged in the architectural design industry for many years, achieving significant accomplishments. He excels at combining theory and practice, implementing bold innovations, and courageously executing new ideas. His remarkable work span various project typologies, including large-scale public architecture, regional culture-featured architecture, and post-disaster reconstruction.
He has won over 90 awards at national, ministerial and provincial levels, including the silver award of the National Excellent Engineering Survey and Design Award, the first prize of the National Excellent Engineering Survey and Design Industry Awards, the silver award of Architectural Creation Award organized by the Architectural Society of China (ASC), the 6th ASC China Young Architect Award, and the Excellent Design Award in the ASC New Era China Young Architect Design Competition. He also won the Excellent Award at the First China Design Exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Culture, and has been honored with titles such as ‘China Young Architecture Talent’, ‘Sichuan Province Young Post Expert’, and ‘Sichuan Province Outstanding Contribution Expert’.
